S.O.S. Vegan, Recipe Collection and NaNoWriMo Writing

Watching: Episodes (finished the binge)  Written: 23,215 / 50,000 words goal  I have been sending recipes to Emory every chance I get. I've been running my phone battery into the ground saving recipes. I can't believe how many vegan dishes there are and yes, I plan to make as many as I can because we're going to a partial vegan party. Half the people are vegan, the other half are family. Just kidding. My family has been vegan for a while. My uncle is an S.O.S. vegan: No Salt. No Oil. No Sugar. My aunt said she felt bad for my cousin's boyfriend because he comes to a vegan household, but I hear my cousin makes a lot of vegan dishes and they're doing pretty good on the new diet. It's helped a lot with everyone's different issues. NaNoWriMo Writing I have officially gave up. I needed a better outline or a story that has maybe more characters. I tried to make this a romance, and I think my romance stories tend to be a little untraditional. I tried reading more r

Tumble Weed Run, Colorado with Rose and NaNoWriMo Writing

Watching: Episodes (series), His House NaNoWriMo Writing: 22,802 / 50000 word goal I saw the biggest tumble weed I've ever seen in my life and it was on the access road where there isn't a lot of plants so how did it get there? I circled around and was going to park to take a picture but people speed on that road and it's not like they would see me standing right there taking a picture so I ended up passing on the photography. I expect tumble weeds in a lot of places, but not one that looked like the size of a tree rolling around. My cousin Rose wrote Sue to talk about this chocolate wine she found, which is funny because when Sue and I were in Cambria, she found chocolate wine too, and at that point, we thought Rose found it in Colorado. We're a family of caravaners. You never know where anyone is at any given time. However, when we asked her about the weather in Colorado, she said she hadn't gone yet. She has a friend who plays professional football and this frien

Weekends at the Beach House, Shopping at Second Hand Stores and NaNoWriMo Writing

Watching: Carnival Row and Lilly and Dash Written: 19,300 words / 50,000 word goal Went to Oxnard for a couple of days and had a really great time, but it is cold and windy up there by the water. We went to Mainstreet Ventura and I did a little shopping. I found some books and two mugs; Libra and Cancer (both are gifts). Emory laughed and asked if they didn't have Virgo. I wish but Virgo print is hard to find. For whatever the reason, most Virgos will buy that stuff very quickly, me being one of them. There are a lot of second hand shops up there too, which I browsed through. I found a plastic bag carrier that looks like a little dog bone. It clips on their leash so we have trash bags when we take them for walks. Also found a book for my nephew and a very bright, colorful cookbook for my niece. Her daddy is a cook so the book should be very fitting.  I was going to shop for Christmas presents this weekend. All I did was go to Target and they had 70% off their candy, so I bought a b

Scarecrow Walk, Zebras and NaNoWriMo Writing

Watching:  Dark, Deadly and Dreadful and Bad Education (television series) NaNoWriMo Writing: 8,335/50,000 words goal We went to Cambria. It's really close to Hearst Castle, which, one day we might go back to. My aunt says that in the winter, they use to have actors in the rooms acting out scenarios. That would be fun to see. I'm not sure the last time we went to Hearst but he owns so much property and there were zebras and cows just grazing along the drive up.  They had this thing called The Scarecrow Walk which had community displays. It's really cool how creative people got making displays. We walked through a few of them, and drove by the others. Some of them were hidden so you have to walk through town looking for the displays.  I fell in love with a restaurant called Robin's. It had vegan and gluten free options. The mushroom sandwich was the best thing I've tasted in a while. Sue got a salad and soup. I tasted the soup and it was so good, we got an extra soup

Uncomfortably Cold, Elephant Seals and NaNoWriMo Writing

Watching: Poltergeist, Mr. Young (television series), Cadaver NaNoWriMo Word Count: 5,155/50,000 word goal  It's finally cold enough to be uncomfortable. Time to bring out the extra clothes. I feel like I'm completely grungy during the winter. It's hard to be stylish with all the layers I wear.  We went to see the elephant seals. They're protected animals so the lookout was at a distance. The little guys were sleeping so not much was going on. It's crazy watching them get in the water when it seems too cold to be swimming, but they have all that blubber that makes it easy for them.  I love that this drive had tons of vineyards. There is something so neat staring out at rows and rows of grapevines and knowing that people use it to make wine. We must have crossed at least twenty wineries that I actually saw. Who knows what's farther back off the road.  📗 Writing Update:  📘 Well, decided that I didn't really like my lead male character's name so I had to

Taped Shoulder, Junk Food Vegan and NaNoWriMo Writing

Watching: Evil (television series) Scary Movie 5 (more funny then scary) NaNoWriMo word count: 1,706/50,000 word goal I've been having my shoulders taped for the better part of two weeks and I really like how much that helps. The tape hurts like the devil peeling off, though. It even leaves my skin red. The physical therapist told me to do more pushups to help with my weak shoulders and shoulder blades. I hate pushups. I hate squats too. I don't mind walking for exercise, but everything else sucks.  I've decided I'm officially a junk food vegan. Maybe because it's getting so close to all the holidays, but I'm really not eating the way I should.  Writing Update: I have three stories I want to write so picking one and sticking to it was a little difficult. I let my mind do the wondering. Which story spoke the loudest would be the one I worked on. Strangely, this story I originally had in mind for fanfiction, but I'm really trying to get away from writing fanfi
