Street Racers, Fires on the Freeway and Commune Travelers

I woke in the middle of the night to what sounded like street racers. It is such a weird feeling to be woken up and in a haze because it sounds like something is wrong and at first I thought I heard an accident with wheels screeching. The only other thing it could be was a bunch of teenagers or young adults popping donuts. Emory says that has woken him up a few times in the past.  The winds have picked up. Sue was calling me on her commute and she said "I'll have to hang up and call 911, there's a fire." Fires spread so fast with the wind, so I called her back later to make sure everything was okay and she said she couldn't get through to the emergency services and she believed it was because everyone was calling.  There was a major fire on the Interstate 10 Freeway going into downtown and it's one of the busiest roads. Click here for article . I am so glad I don't use that freeway. But they do believe it was arson. We have a lot of homeless people that b

Dog Heart Murmurs, Arizona Communes and NaNoWriMo

Holy Cow! We have such bad luck.  The only thing I'll go into is about Typo. She has an enlarged heart so the doctor said we could have a couple of months to a couple of years with her. She seems pretty happy so we are just spoiling the crap out of her. She's been getting everything she's been begging for. Sue got back from the Arizona commune where she helped sort the garage that houses so many people's things, including my stuff because I seem to rotate in and out of the commune as well. If our luck doesn't turn around for us, who knows, maybe we'll end up at the commune again. It will kind of suck moving back into a commune because that's a lot of people in a fairly small area and that means sharing the kitchen! Yikes! Not that everyone isn't friendly in the space, but yeah. Also, I think there are three televisions, and I know the main room is usually the house mother's so it's their schedule first for television shows. Plus, we'd have t

Samhain Celebrations, Tequila Drinks and NaNoWriMo Month

I had a little stay-cation. It was a nice Samhain celebration. We woke up early. I went to the gym, then I went and had a facial which was fantastic. Then we cooked our Samhain meal and watched movies and at the end of the night, I read our tarot. 🔮 I did decide to drink tequila (day drinking) and that was a bad idea. There were a lot more shots than I expected in the drink I had. We went to the Topanga mall and they have bars down in the food court. We got ourselves a drink and hung outside. The weather was so nice. We did a lot of puzzles (2 and 1/2) The 1/2 was a 1500 piece puzzle so that's huge. We're still working on it. It will probably take a few weeks with our schedule. Sue is heading to Arizona this week so I am not sure if the commune is leaving for the other house which means it'll be Emory, me and all the pets collected from all the commune. Okay, it's not a lot of pets, but it's a feeding schedule to remember.  Side note: I need to finish wrapping Yul
