Church Carnival, Vegandale and NaNoWriMo

Emory and I are having a blast with this product test site called Social Nature. They give you coupons to try their food products. I think they offer more than food, but Emory has only done the food option. The challenge is sometimes finding the product. Some coupons say what stores to go to, but there's been a few times we've had to go to a few different store companies to find the items. Of all the items, it's hard to say what's been my favorite test product I've tried. We went to a carnival at the church. It was super small and everything required tickets from food, drinks to rides. We thought the Ferris Wheel would be 12 tickets a piece but the guy only required 4 tickets so we had enough tickets to do the bumper cars twice. I would have done the Ferris Wheel again, but heights get to me. I'm not as brave as I thought I'd be. Kind of kissed the ground when my feet were back on it. It's been a busy week! We went to Vegandale and ate so much food and g...

Essential Oils, Cooking and Writing

My favorite scent for my diffuser dried up rather quickly. I don't think I'll be using that company again for my scents. I am a fan of P&J's essential oils so I'm ordering my Hot Chocolate flavor through them. It's just a real nice calming scent for me. Also, I found a much larger room diffuser so I might be asking Emory to get me that so we can smell our scents in the living room. I have our small diffuser by the bed so I can smell my scents while I'm reading. Sue has a diffuser too, but she's so sensitive to smells (Vanilla, Chocolate, Gardena) or I'd get her the coffee essential oil. She's a little harder to shop for (for Christmas). I did find something small for her so far, but I need to be a little more creative. Emory and I have been brainstorming.  We finally went and got our flu shots. I think I might start wearing my mask now that it's getting closer to the flu season. I have some clean masks in my car.  I've been really loving ...

Los Angeles Haunted Hayride, Pictures and NaNoWriMo

I had the best weekend. We went to the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride which had a hayride and three haunted houses. There was so much to take pictures with. I had a blast just taking photos, but the hayride was super cute. My phone wouldn't focus due to the lighting and the fog machines, but I think I had a few seconds on video. There was a live band too and they changed the lyrics to a few songs to fit the horror theme. We got popcorn and cotton candy and listened to the band while we hung out.  Everyone had a VIP pass so the general admission lines were super short and for the most part, we walked right into the mazes. The décor was just great. I love the mannequins when you can't tell what's going to actually move.  Then Saturday, we went out for a vegan pizza and boy am I glad we didn't finish it because it became our meal on Sunday when we got home super late. Writing update: My friend and I will be zoom meeting for NaNoWriMo this year. My writer stress will be showin...

Fabio is Fantastic! Stuck in an Elevator and Writing

My boss had such an exciting weekend. She ran into Fabio! She said he looks exactly like he does on the cover of romance novels, only his hair has a little more gray in it. She told him, "Looking good, Fabio." and she said with a very accented voice "Thank you." I guess he was buying bird seed. She said she only thought to take a picture after he left and she said that no one else in the store was freaking out so she doesn't think they recognized him. Isn't that cool! In other news, I got stuck in the elevator at work. The way the elevator stopped, it was a jolt and it's like the power failed or something didn't register with the gears. Thank Goddess I wasn't alone because I would have freaked out. It was just my luck that I left my phone back at my desk. Never again! I will always have my phone on me when I'm in the elevators because the call button didn't register. The woman with me wasn't as freaked out, but maybe she hid it well. ...
