Fall Festivals, Carnivals and Urgent Care

We had a chance to go see The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It was a small audience compared to the other shows, but it was fantastic. This was my first time ever and I didn't expect all the yelling, the audience getting up to dance the "Time Warp" and I didn't expect items to be thrown (all in good fun). It was such an experience and I tried to capture as much as I could of the moment. I had such a great time.

Then I went to a small festival with Sue. I snapped a couple of pictures of her. I call it "Sue in the Wild" as she's hard to get pictures off. She'd probably kill me if she knew I had a photo... or two...

We got more stuff than we needed. I bought Emory some hot sauce, and so many of the little tables wanted donations. We didn't bring enough money to donate to everyone. They were asking for $20.00 which is pretty hefty price if you have more than five people asking for it. We did spin the wheel of "fortune" and the tab landed on "dealer's choice" on candy so we went into the candy store and got a little something for free.

Sue and I then went to a book store and hung out. She had to get books for Book Club and she may have picked up a few extra items. She likes crystals, but she's a hard pass at tarot. She mentioned spirit boards too which I find hilarious. I guess she didn't like my joke about spirit boards killing people. I was just trying to be funny but she is a hard pass on that sort of stuff, which I sort of wondered on when she went into an oddity shop with me.

We went out for lunch afterwards. I got Pho. So good.

Later that day, Emory and I went to the carnival across the street. We usually like going and getting drinks. We listen to the band, but we were a little early... as in it was still light outside and no music yet. We had one drink and then my thumb started to bruise. We decided to sleep on it, but in the morning, off to Urgent Care to make sure I hadn't broken my thumb.

Everyone wants to know how I bruised it, because it was badly bruised and hurt to bend. Sadly, the only thing I know I did for certain was move a plastic chair that couldn't have weighed a thing. Next thing I know my thumb felt weird. Everyone thought I might have gotten bit by something, but it wasn't an allergic reaction. It felt like I had broken it.

Urgent Care said no fractures or breaks. I might have broken a blood vessel and that's why it swelled and turned purple. I'm okay now.

Now I'm watching horror movies and just enjoying the day.
