Sick Over the Weekend, Swimming View and Writing

Emory and I got sick over the weekend.  I think I caught something from an elevator full of people with no mask, but he thinks he caught it and gave it to me. His workplace doesn't require masks and mine still has a mask mandate. We tested twice for COVID, but the test came back negative each time.

We're lucky, though we couldn't do anything for the 4th of July. I really wanted to go up to visit the family in Oxnard. My cousin came down and they were paddle boarding.

I know at least five people who got COVID this month. Three finally tested negative but the other two are still sick. I couldn't imagine. Two of them ended up hospitalized for complications related to COVID.

Because Emory has a cough right now, he couldn't help with production on a demo reel. I think he was looking forward to it, but the cough just won't go away. I have a cough too and it's okay most of the time and then I get a coughing fit.

We ended up going to Darlene's house in Porter, since Sue is out and Darlene and her husband are at the Oxnard house. She has the best view for swimming so we turned on a Netflix movie and watched while we hung out in the pool. It's one of our favorite past times.

Got Done Swimming

When I talk about the view, I mean, Darlene lives on a hill that overlooks a good portion of the area and at night the lights are all beaming. It's super pretty. I guess the neighbor down below though got really pissed at another neighbor and planted a huge tree that blocks the view of fireworks. That sucks, but I don't remember a time without the tree.

Writing Update

T.D. Short story with a vampire. :) Finished it in two days and the editing was super easy with this one because it was so short. I love the characters.
