I didn't expect to see rummage sales this early in the morning, but I stopped at a sign that said 40+ homes were participating in this yard sale. I came back at 8am when they were actually supposed to start, and I had the BEST time ever!
For $3.00 I bought a see-through purse for the events that are out here that require see-through purses. I bought 3 puzzles for $1.00 each. I bought Ann some glass watering bulbs. Apparently, I say the word "bulbs" weirdly because she had no idea what I bought when I told her. She might be right, because I called Sue and told her what I bought, and she suggested I buy fake plants to put in them. It took me a little bit to realize that neither of them understood what I said.
This woman wanted to sell me this BEAUTIFUL dress that would be perfect as a fairy princess at a bookcon or fairycon. I wanted it so badly, but it wasn't my size. The woman who was selling it had the body of a goddess, and I'm more like the sidekick in this scenario. She'd say something like, "Hand me my sword." And I'd say something like, "Oops! I forgot it." So, long story short, I skipped the dress.
I bought a bunch of smaller things, too, that I probably didn't need. I bought a brand new drink canister. Didn't need another one, but yep, that's what I did. I also bought utterly gorgeous earrings and a pill container for the mister.
I went out for lunch with Sue, and that was relaxing. We bought some sunblock with zinc. She gave me her pet stroller for Mozart. The commune is going out of town, so they invited us to visit the Oxnard house, and that's really close to the beach and to downtown Ventura. We can put Mozart in the stroller and walk him through town. What a cute idea!
Mozart's problem is progressing. He still loves food, so it's not time to let him cross the rainbow bridge. He still likes his walks, though they are slow. We're going to try to get him out for the weekend in the stroller.
Oh, we are heading to the Arizona commune for a few days. Lots of communes to visit. My favorite bartender will be showing up at the Scottsdale Commune. I think that will be fun! She wants to introduce her boyfriend. I think this might be serious. She's freaking adorable.
I've finally chosen a tarot deck that I want to do my public readings on. I am trying to get familiar with the art and the stories behind each card. This deck has a story that I'll never fully understand, like who put holes in the 7 of the cards? Why are there holes in these cards? So many secrets.
Writing Update:
D.P. I'm working on chapter one again and BAM!!! one sentence changed everything! I'm so excited to see where this story is going to go. I'm also back to wondering if I should put any other Point-of-View in this. I am a little rough when it comes to writing romance, though I find romance to be exciting. I feel it in my gut when I'm writing a scene that turns romantic.
