Waiting for people to be awake so I can start calling. 💕 Yep, I make morning calls and texts to all my favorite people. Too many to actually count.
Sue picked me up for dinner. We had watermelon mango margaritas and just chatted the heck out of our time together. She is going to let me borrow a overnight bag because I'm getting on an airplane to Arizona. I'll be in AZ for about four days. I think only one commune knows I'm coming. This isn't until May though.
Sue is heading to Arizona for the weekend so that will be fun for her. I asked her if she was going to Cave Creek and she said she doesn't think so. Nuts! I need to get more Arizona spices which tend to be a little on the hot side. I have one that Emory puts on our veggie burgers and tofu that tastes excellent! It's hard to find novelity spices out here, though there is a place called Spicetopia, but you only get an ounce for $5.99 and up which is pretty expensive.
With everything going up in price, who knows how much spices will cost soon. This is crazy. I'm not on board. I never was on board.
Emory and I went to Ventura for a few hours. It's about a 45 minute drive from where we live. We went to Old Town, got pho for lunch (which I really wanted) and sadly, I couldn't help but do a little shopping. I really wanted perfume, but have been dragging my feet because an ounce of perfume is expensive and I don't think we should be spending money in this economy.
I did break and got myself a perfume called Aloha. It's devine! I also got a brand new Starbucks mug at Goodwill for 1/3rd the original price. It's usually $22.99 at the actual Starbucks. It says "California" on it and has all the highlights of California. It's handwashed only. I don't mind. I wanted something I could take in the car with me when I go out. Also, I really really shouldn't have, but I bought a puzzle that has 5 puzzles in one box. It's the Disney Villains. I got it for $5.00 at the library. It's been completed so I know all the pieces are there. So excited.
I'm sending some puzzles out with Sue to the Glendale Commune. Also, Ann wanted a few things I was just going to give away, so I'm going to send that out too. All useful things.
Writing Update:
Werewolf Untitled: I had a hard time naming my "creature" as he should be fairly old. I have a few baby name books so I went through and I think I am satisfied at this moment, with my character names. Still working on chapter 1. I want to get 2,500 words for each chapter for the 1st draft. I hate blank pages. I'm a huge fan of editing. Word count: 1,680 words
C: chapter 10, stuck. I wrote my character into a hole and people are waiting. I really need to get my butt in gear now that I'm home alone again for another week. Just time to work the heck out of these novels.
