I just realized, I'm not brave enough to be on a boat. The captain was experienced and great, the company fantastic, but the waves scared the heck out of me!
We went up to the Channel Islands and I was told in the spring that it's absolutely beautiful and covered in flowers. We looked at the arch which was amazing. We saw little sea lions (probably a year old) playing in the waves. No whales or dolphins though. I think Darlene was more disappointed than anything.

I wanted to do the 7 Caves at La Jolla, but I think we already did it years ago, like a few decades to be exact because the images looked familiar. I have pictures of that experience. There are tons of seals over there. Jodi says it's not safe to be out there and I thought nothing of it, but Ann second that notion. Where there are seals, there are sharks...

La Jolla? I was so young when we took this photo |
Ok... I might stay out of the water. I don't know yet.
I need to start taking vacation time at work or I'll stop gaining vacation hours. Ann wants me to head to AZ for a long weekend. I want to go hiking, I want to see the Japanese Gardens and I want to go to Cave Creek and get some more southern spices (which tends to be a little on the hot side). Emory said he'd go out with me so we can do some of those things.
I owe Ann and Sue a date. Sue keeps taking me out to dinner and I told her that she would earn herself a gift card if she doesn't start letting me pay. I think we both just enjoy the company. Ann though is the same way. She's done so much so I need to take her out. I found this little place that's like a "Hair Bar" where it's 45 mins of someone just putting oils and massaging your head. I invited Emory but he thinks it looks like it might be a woman's space and he doesn't want to impede.
I went to dinner at the Porter Commune. Mr. M made a lot of food which was fantastic! It was a vegan, gluten free mushroom dish with tofu/lavender cooked together. It was really good. Now, Mr. M eats hot. I mean real hot spices. The hotter the better for him. Sue doesn't like terribly hot. Emory is somewhere in the middle and because Emory cooks with cumin and chili powder, I'm a little more used to those spices. I think I can do Habanero and Jalapenos at my hottest. Mr. M is like Ghost Peppers and Carolina Reaper hot. Farmer Bill (Scottsdale Commune) does super hot too.
Typo is still with us. She's my fur buddy. She's one of my best friends.
Writing Update:
I finally posted: B.C. = chapter 17, C. = chapter 8, F.C. = chapter 3.
I am really inspired to write for my own original projects again. I was writing my original projects and my flash drive crashed and I lost 15,000 words on my one project and countless words on other projects. I think it's the Attention Deficit Disorder that makes me work on so many things at one time. I really want to focus, but I have to go where the character voices take me and if that's other projects, that are the loudest, that's what I have to do.
