There are two community library boxes in my neighborhood where people can leave books. It's a little different from an actual library because you can keep the books indefinitely. I grabbed two books; "They Both Die At The End" by Adam Silvera and "Double Fudge Murder" by Jan Fields. I grabbed the first book for Sue because she's a little more outgoing when it comes to reading. I like my mysteries, fantasy, romances and Urban Fantasy.
What an incredibly busy weekend!!
So I don't really leave the house without Emory. I'm working on that because I guess I have some agoraphobic tendencies. It's hard to explain but I get sensory overload when I'm outside. Emory grounds that part of me that immediately just panics.
I wasn't sure I'd be able to do it, but I made it down to the car. Still thought I wouldn't be able to do it, but I got in the car. I had my doubts, but I drove down the street. Super unsure I'd be able to get out of the car, but one foot in front of the other and I was making it into Dollar Tree.
I'm SOOOOOO glad I went to Dollar Tree. I found some super fun things that I just had to buy. I got us a few Christmas glow items that we could wear. I found Disney Villain lip glosses. I found something we could put a Secret Santa gift in and I want to fill it with little cute useful items. Emory is doing a Secret Santa at work and I'm super excited to shop for it.
Note on the Secret Santa, he's thinking about getting a $25.00 gift card to Starbucks. I just want whoever he gets to have a little fun extra. (Shoooooot! I have a shopping problem)
I went to the grocery store next and bought a few items that I thought we could eat. The bags were heavy! I also picked something extra up for Emory but I have it hidden away so for Christmas I can add it to his present. I did find watermelon juice that I thought would be fun to use for watermelon margaritas.
Sue called me on my way home and said she'd meet me at Costco. That was the one thing I really wanted looking forward to, because Costco is a huge stress to me. She said she'd meet me there so it started with parking being a bit of a nightmare. Once that was done, we grabbed a cart and walked on in.
The place was crowded. Sue said she wasn't supposed to be looking for anything, but she walked away with as much as I did. I probably needed more things. To be honest, I'm really not organized so I just sort of see things and throw it in the cart where as Emory is like "here's our list of things we need."
Emory and I went to HO HO Halloween! What a fun haunted house. It's part of Reign of Terror which I think has a wonderful production. The actors are great. The jump scares... Well, I ended up in Emory's arms a few times. He was still laughing about it when we were telling Sue.
The line itself was about 45mins to an hour wait time. That's how popular it was. The haunted house is awesome because if you catch up to the people just ahead of you, the actors will slow you down and do a little scare before they let you move on. It was great!
Once we got out, they had a Santa for pictures! I am so excited becausee I love Santa!
A long time ago, when my cousin and I wanted a picture with Santa, the line was freaking long, so we found a biker that had the beard and Santa hat and asked if we could get our picture with him. My dad said the biker was thrilled and had a good laugh. I'm not so daring anymore.
That said, I love Reign of Terror. There are so many rooms. The jump scares got to me and that's what I'm there for. It's like having your lungs tickled by your screams.
I did find a Christmas card that I freaking love for my sister and her hubby. I hope it's not terrible aggressive, but it is horror themed. She'll probably laugh and say, "yep, that's her."
Writing Update:
Editing both B.C. and C. I have the chapters finished, but I'm giving it a cleanup.
I finally have an idea for a slow burn story that I want to start working on, but I have so many stories that I'm working on. When will they be done? Yikes.
