Stressful Week, Shopping for Charities and Writing

I have been living on stress for the better part of the week.

I kind of wonder if Ann called Sue and told her to keep me busy because Sue ended up calling me Saturday morning to go shopping with her.

We went to Walmart looking for two types of card games for children; Go Fish and Old Maid. Sue also bought toys for the toy drive and included things for the teenage boys and girls. Walmart isn't my favorite of stores. It's always crowded and I think it's a little hard to find things. All that chaos makes it hard to focus.

We went to Target next and I found some yummies for my fur babies. I got them these little candy cups that look like pure sugar, but it is dog treats and came in a package of four for $5.00. I need to put a few treats together in a care package for Chanel. She's a little "pom" dog that the Porter commune babysits for the holidays. I have small fur babies too so everything I have is for little mouthes.

Emory and I went shopping this weekend for all the groceries we need for Thanksliving Dinner. We're going to make a vegan sheet-pan dinner. Crazy but for the two of us, our "dinner" really won't be that expensive. We have made our own little tradition, which we tend to enjoy.

What will I do for Black Friday? Write. I have way too many puzzles so I'm not doing any puzzle shopping at my favorite thrift store.

So Northern California got a lot of rain and we got a little bit of a misty rain down here in Southern California. Crazy Cousin Nik has been playing indoor games. He lives up north and his shop I believe flooded a little last year and the block was closed off so he couldn't get to his place of business.

Has anyone had an orange-julious? It's ice cream and orange juice mixed. I have a few cartons of "nice cream" which is the vegan option for ice cream. I'm thinking of making it for lunch. Back when I was a kid, I'd put an egg in the drink, but I found out that raw egg isn't something we should be consuming... and now that I'm vegan, I wouldn't eat eggs period. It's a little funny though what we do as children.

Writing Update:

B.C. Working on chapter 16. I have about 600 words written, but I'll have more on it today.

C. Working on chapter 7. I have a scene that I need to clean up as the story is a little rough right now. I have about 2,000 words written and my goal is 3000 for each chapter that I write.
