Muay Thai, Square Dancing and Writing

I feel so empowered with the moves I learned in Muay Thai. Emory was laughing at me before the class because I make sounds when I punch. That's normal right? Well, my sounds are more like "sound effects." He said, "You know your punches will make noise. You don't have to make the noise for them." What do you expect when I'm watching Iron Fist and trying out his moves in front of the television.

What do my punches sound like? "PE-UUUU! PE-UUUU!"

My finger guns also make that sound. "PE-UUUU! PE-UUUU!"

The balls of my feet ache because we're barefoot on the mat and the movements rub my skin raw. I won't be surprised if I get blisters in the next couple of weeks. (Shoot, won't take weeks to get those blisters, bruises, cuts, achy and stiff muscles)

There are only two other girls in the class, both fairly young. I am partnered with them, but the trainer worked a lot with me one on one. Needless to say, it's hard to get out of bed in the morning, but I want more. I'm hungry for this.

Square Dancing is a blast as well. We're in our fifth week and it's so great to see all the familiar faces again. I'll have to see if I can find the pictures people are taking.  I think the pictures are to help promote the good time, but I am of the generation that loves photos so I really need to look for them.

Writing Update

I've been chasing my ideas, which means working on a paragraph for one story and then starting five pages on another. Must. Stay. Focused.
